Introducing the installation of PressEx pre-made rebar rolls using a selfpowered jig machine to crcp highway pavement projects in the USA.

The PRESSEX Rolls Process

The PRESSEX Rolls are produced in a purpose built machine using a hydraulic pressing method of securing bars to steel straps that doesn’t require any welding. The premade Rolls are engineered and computer CAD designed, with the design then installed in the PRESSEX machine, so that all dimensioning is precise, ensuring a precision product every time. The end product is a strong, non-welded, robust mat that rolls out to the correct extremities perfectly and requires minimal wire tying.

By using this NEW method at least 70% of the time on manual installation is saved, by making the rebar rolls in advance of installation. Rebar rolls can now be produced on-site, or in a local factory by computer-controlled machines, stockpiled in large quantities, ready to be used when installation starts. Having the REBAR mats Pre-Made only requiring placing and some tying represents a HUGE saving in time and labour. The Rolls are easily transported to site and installed by a HIAB Crane prime mover/ tractor truck, which tows the delivery trailers alongside the installation Jig machine. The installation process requires MINIMAL labour depending on required daily production -- more labour more production. Please see our Video.

With the use of #6 and #7 bars and greater bar spacing commonly found in the US; the contractor using this method could expect very significant production over what is currently achieved manually.

The greatly increased daily output gives you substantial time and labour cost savings, and therefore a vast tendering advantage over your competitors who continue to produce and install CRCP rebar the old-fashioned manual/by hand way.
